Key Responsibilities:
Community engagement & Beneficiary Training
- Assist in sensitisation of local government structures, communities and traditional authorities on the targeting criteria and identification and registration of the beneficiaries for the delivery of cash and agriculture assistance
- Organise the inception and community sensitisation meetings and trainings
- Conducting awareness raising and messaging for affected beneficiaries on the program
- Participate in weekly/monthly zonal meetings
- Raise awareness on the use of community feedback mechanisms.
- Facilitating coordination with authorities for all activities (share information, assist as needed)
- Coordinate with health sector field staff in identification of the vulnerable beneficiaries
Timely cash and agriculture assistance delivery
- Developing monthly detailed program activity implementation plans for the interventions
- Conduct the registration of targeting families, ensuring that the data is collected and is recorded appropriately
- Conducting awareness raising and messaging for affected beneficiaries on the program
- Work together with the Cash and markets and Agriculture extension officers on the development of distribution plans
- Help oversee delivery of cash assistance and helping ensure the resolution of any problems
- With guidance from Health Sector Lead, ensure that COVID-19 prevention guidelines are followed in all activities implemented under the project
Data Collection and Reporting
- Contribute in conducting of FGDs, door to door surveys and survey for the baseline and end line and other survey.
- Responsible for all required technical aspects on the ground on projects and ensure that implemented as required
- Collect harvest date throughout the appropriate data collection tools
- Collect any feedback received during the communities meeting and field visits and report to line manger timely
- Provide monthly and weekly plans and reports
- Develop success stories of the projects interventions
- Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility

At least 14th grade qualification in social studies, agriculture, veterinaries, and/or economics,
Preferred Knowledge
and Qualifications
Humanitarian context knowledge and experience. Bachelor of Agriculture or Veterinary is a plus Experience in documentation and reporting Experience working with community leaders (Community Based Structures) Experience in adult learning methodology and monitoring of training activities Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in conducting training in Agriculture and livestock Experience in cash transfer /GIK projects an added advantage. Ability to work as part of a field team. Very good communication with communities and local authorities. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context Able to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural context, stressful environments and with limited resources Cross cultural sensitivity, flexible views, emotional maturity and physical stamina. Demonstrable experience in child protection, child rights Interpersonal, management and conflict resolution skills. Results oriented and good team-player Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet use and Lotus Notes.
