Job Description
AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist for full-time employment based in the Burnaby, BC office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Diploma/Certificate in a related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
BIM and CAD design experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Experience using Revit MEP and AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications :
A.Sc.T. designation preferred (or ability of qualify for A.ScT)
Critical thinking to identify issues in a 3D environment, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion
Professional and timely communication to internal team members and external stakeholders
Delivers on promises to project team members, consultants and clients
Comfortable using Revit’s capabilities such as:
MEP modelling and design tools
Sheets and Detail views
Worksets
Design Options
Phasing
Revit Family modification and creation
Templates and View filters creation
Experience in using Navisworks and BIM 360 for Model and clash coordination would be an asset
Experience Metro Vancouver Drafting standards would be an asset
Previous experience in water/wastewater treatment, pumping station and building design experience would be an asset
Able to build and maintain professional relationships internally and externally

Offered rate of compensation in Burnaby, BC will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $102,000.
