Job Description
Our energy business across Australia, New Zealand global is fast responding to a rapidly transitioning to a low carbon and renewable energy future. This is being driven by the growing climate imperative, the changing governments priorities towards energy transition and reducing cost of renewables.
As a result, we are seeing unprecedent investment in utility scale renewable energy projects and decarbonisation opportunities across our client base. The investment requires strong collaboration cross our teams to ensure we are able to leverage these opportunities and support our clients and the market achieve its goals as we target net zero ambition.
AECOM have a long history providing planning, advisory, engineering investigations, feasibility studies, detailed design, construction support, owner’s engineer and asset management services to our key clients and on large, complex brownfield and greenfield projects.
This director level role has responsibility for the overall success of the Generation and Industrial business, within our NZ Energy business line. The Generation and Industrial team capability and resources are spread across our regional offices, in Auckland, Christchurch and Hamilton. The regional teams collaborate nationally across a diverse range of projects servicing a diverse range of clients across generation, industrial, water and wastewater
sectors.
This includes accountability for the strategy, growth and development of Generation & Industrial business, and contribution to the growth and achievement of the wider NZ Energy business.
Qualifications

Appropriate technical qualification
20 years of relevant experience including a successful track record in field of expertise and substantial project experience
Demonstrated commercial acumen, and the ability to develop a strong client base
Demonstrated business development and work winning skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and adapt messaging appropriate to audience.
Demonstrated leadership skills including technical leadership, people engagement, innovation and motivation skills
