Job Description
AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist for our innovative and growing Digital Solutions department in NYC. The Digital Solutions Department is comprised of architects, engineers, developers and programmers.
As a BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through application of BIM technologies. The BIM Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assist in providing training and technical support to design staff on Building Information Modeling systems.
Act as a support resource for core design technologies.
Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project.
Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques.
Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies.
Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for architectural and engineering designs.
Deliver assigned tasks, projects and group initiatives in an efficient manner.
When and where applicable, coordinate support between external vendors and internal staff.
Support efforts in development, testing and implementation of design tools and services.
Support the development and implementation interoperability workflows between various design applications/platforms.
Assist in the creation and review Design Technology learning materials.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline required plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite and Bentley Suite.
Experience with Revit.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite preferred.
Experience with a variety of BIM software including but not limited to: Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Design Suite, Assemble, and Plangrid.
Experience with a variety of design software including but not limited to: Rhino, Vray, Lumion, Unity, Unreal, Twinmotion, AutoCAD, and Formit.
Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industry.
Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $61,143.89 - $84,072.85.
