Job Description
As part of its Child Protection program, the IRC Yemen is providing psychosocial support (PSS) and case management services to vulnerable children, adolescent boys, and their caregivers in Al Dhalee, Abyan and Al Hudaydah governorates. The Child Protection Data Management Assistant will primarily be responsible for ensuring CP case management data is accurately and ethically collected, stored, analyzed & shared in strict adherence to the CPMIS+ Guidelines and relevant protection standards. S/he will also be responsible for leading on, with support for the M&E department, the monitoring and evaluation and reporting aspects of the CP activities to inform better program interventions under the supervision of, and with technical support from the Child Protection Information Management system Officer (CPIMSO).
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the child protection information management system, providing educational and supportive supervision to users of the system and CP database, and documenting and analyzing data collected, adhering to data protection protocol.
WORKING RELATIONS:

Position provides technical support and mentorship on information management and M&E: CP team and partners
Other Internal and/or external contacts:CP team; M&E officers ; CRA officers; MEAL team; CP sub-cluster.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion, and cohesion in IRC.
Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue, and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
Directly oversee all CP data collection and management with the support and supervision of the CPIMSO.
Ensure data received from the field teams is correctly entered into the program trackers on a weekly regular basis - gather, consolidate, clarify errors, and clear the program data.
Ensure accurate and regular data entry and review, including robust analysis and identification of trends, following the CP information management protocols and standards set out by the CPIMS+.
Maintain the CP information management system and ensure safe and accurate documentation, filing, storing and usage of information.
Share weekly the updated Program Data and Indicator tracker with the CPIMSOand CP Senior Officers.
Ensure all hard copy of case management and CP activities files are securely stored (i.e., in strong lockable file cabinets where appropriate).
Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation, including leading on or supporting the team with focus group discussions, community consultations, and carrying out feedback surveys with children, adolescent boys, and caregivers.
Analyze and share results of focus groups and community consultations, including identifying trends and context changes.
Support the CP team on the CP emergency assessments in case of new displacement.
Regularly visit program activities to ensure that all data is correctly collected and stored and shared in a timely manner.
Use project indicator data to monitor achievement towards objectives; report any projected shortcomings or gaps to CPIMSO .
In coordination with the MEAL team, develop online database forms and other tools to facilitate the collection of data from field-based staff.
Compile and share monthly 5Ws with the CP AoR focal person
Collect and share the Weekly, monthly, and ITT reports.
Other assigned tasks by CPIMSO.
Qualifications
Education:
Information technology, computer science diploma/ bachelor or related degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of previous work experience in information management or overseeing activities with a humanitarian organization; experience directly working with displaced populations strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent computer skills and abilities in Excel, Word, and web-based platforms/databases, and the ability to train others in these systems.
Studies related to information management preferred; studies and/or professional experience programming on Child Protection and Comm Care highly desired.
Ability to organize and manage data; and always adhering to confidentiality and respect for clients always is essential.
Demonstrated commitment to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, and impartiality.
Strong ability to work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Willing to work as a member of a diverse team and maintain a positive attitude and good communication under stress.
Proficiencies:

Work Environment
The successful candidate will be based in AlDhalee, with regular travel to IRC and partner intervention areas (Aden, Abyan, Al Dhalee, and Hodeida).
